PulseBrief is operated by Daniil Herasymov. This Privacy Policy explains what information PulseBrief collects, how it is used, and how you can contact us about your data.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to provide daily briefs and manage the app, including:

• An anonymous Supabase user ID used to identify your app account.
• Your selected topics, interests, tone, reminder time, language, and timezone.
• Your optional display name and optional local-news location if you choose to provide them.
• Generated brief content, brief read state, and related source information.
• Push notification tokens and delivery information when reminders are enabled.
• Subscription and entitlement status handled through RevenueCat and Apple.
• Basic diagnostics and session information collected through LogRocket to help us find and fix app problems.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and deliver personalized daily briefs.
• Save your preferences and sync them across app launches.
• Send reminders when you enable notifications.
• Confirm subscription access before generating briefs.
• Debug crashes, errors, and app behavior.
• Maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

AI Processing

PulseBrief uses backend services, including OpenAI, to generate brief content from your saved preferences and relevant news context. Secret API keys are not stored in the app.

Local Storage

The app stores your saved preferences in UserDefaults and keeps downloaded brief rows and opened brief details in the app cache. This local cache is disposable and may be cleared by the app or iOS.

Third-Party Services

PulseBrief uses these services to operate the app:

• Supabase for anonymous authentication, preferences, briefs, push tokens, and backend functions.
• RevenueCat and Apple for subscriptions, purchases, trials, restores, and entitlement checks.
• OpenAI for backend brief generation.
• LogRocket for diagnostics and session replay used to improve app reliability.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide PulseBrief, maintain subscriptions and app security, resolve issues, and meet legal obligations. Cached app data may be removed at any time.

Your Choices

You can change your preferences in the app. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings. You can manage subscriptions through Apple. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your anonymous app account.
